National Donut Day is FINALLY here!
My favorite holiday, EVER! I mean what’s not to love about a day that celebrates donuts?! Did you know that National Donut Day was originally a fundraiser for The Salvation Army to help others during the Great Depression and to honor its members who served donuts to soldiers during World War I? The holiday is still honored on the first Friday in June.
After 2020’s global pandemic and the way 2021 is going, we deserve some sprinkles in our life, even if it means buying a box or two! Nothing beats having a nice hot coffee (or iced) and indulging in a warm tasty donut to compliment it.

- At Dunkin Donuts, score a free donut with the purchase of any beverage on June 4th.
- Duck Donuts is giving a free bare to all, cinnamon sugar donut, or powdered sugar donut on June 4th. No purchase necessary.
- Krispy Kreme is celebrating National Donut Day by giving customers a free donut of their choice on June 4th. There is a very reasonable limit of one free donut per customer per day.
- Joey Bag of Donuts in Mount Pleasant is celebrating by giving away a free cup of coffee or a free donut with the purchase of a half dozen or more donuts.
