TOPIC: Native American History of South Carolina
Join Educator Kristin as we learn about the indigenous peoples occupying South Carolina before colonization. We will discuss different aspects of their culture, how Native Americans use the land for their needs, and how they were affected by colonial settlement.
Only 30 students will be allowed to register for the in-person class. The class will be taught at a 3rd thru 6th-grade level, but all ages are welcome. We will also be streaming the class via zoom. The in-person class will be $2 per person including students, parents, chaperones, and siblings. To register you must pay in advance due to limited capacity. This does not include anyone under the age of 2. While the Zoom link will be free, you will need to register to receive it. Please designate which class you would like to participate in upon registration. Please call 843-899-5200 to register.
Please note any interaction with the public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to COVID-19 and we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed while in attendance at the event. We require face coverings or masks inside all buildings.
