Happy New Year! Here’s a look at some family-friendly New Year’s Eve and day events happening around the Lowcountry. Best wishes to you and your family for a happy and healthy 2022!

Noon Year’s Eve Party

A special event for those with an early bedtime! We have crafted a special event for the littles to celebrate the New Year at NOON! We will be having a pizza party, balloon drop, and giveaways! The balloon drop will be at 12pm, pizza will be served at 12:30 pm. Plus, capture your memories in our photo booth and get a free print as a take-home souvenir. Tickets in advance are a must! All attendees must bring socks and sign a waiver to play!

New Year’s Eve Flip-Flop Drop & Fireworks

The famous Folly Beach Flip-Flop Drop will take place on New Year’s Eve, Friday, December 31st. Center Street will close to traffic as revelers enjoy local restaurants and family-friendly festivities. At 11:59, the huge, sparkly flip-flops will descend to mark the stroke of midnight and the beginning of the new year. Followed immediately by a spectacular fireworks show over the beach!

New Year’s Fun at Wild Dunes Resort

Join our Island Adventures team for a family day of play! Join us for a NYE-themed craft, followed by evening BINGO and a festive family flick!

Noon Year’s Eve at the Children’s Museum

CML will have special activation at the Museum, culminating in a noon ball drop and juice box toast on Camden Alley. Activities inside the Museum are free with paid admission and the outside ball drop on the alley is a free, walk-up event. No pre-registration is required. The Museum will close at 12:30.

New Year’s Eve at the South Carolina Aquarium

New this year, you can be the first to ring in 2023 at Aquarium Aglow! Celebrate New Year’s Eve on December 31 from 5:30–9:30 p.m. at a family-friendly evening filled with festive fun, lively music, and a special ball drop before bedtime. In addition to the full Aquarium Aglow experience, this event will have a DJ spinning party music, face painting, and more exciting surprises. Parking Address:- 24 Calhoun St Charleston, SC 29401.

New Year’s Eve Family Celebration at Kiawah

Ring in 2023 with friends and family, featuring entertainment and fireworks. Full à la carte dinner service is available until 9 pm.  Fireworks start promptly at 9 pm. The evening is full of entertainment suitable for families and groups of all ages.

New Year’s Day Brunch & Pajama Party

Join us on New Year’s Day for brunch in your pajamas! Starting at 10 AM, we will serve ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKES  for $8, as well as Mimosa Carafes for $10 & live music! Bring friends, bring family & start the New Year cozy & full at Bohemian Bull!

8th Annual “Bill Murray Look-A-Like” Polar Bear Plunge

The 8th annual plunge will include a costume contest, commemorative t-shirts, and, of course, a plunge into the chilly Atlantic! All attendees are encouraged to come dressed as your favorite Bill Murray character and be ready to ‘freeze your Bills off’ as a way to pay homage to one of Charleston’s funniest residents. Prizes will be awarded for Best Girl, Best Guy, Best Kid, Best Team, and Best Overall Bill Murray
