In choosing a private school, parents are afforded smaller class sizes, more individualized attention, better differentiation in the classroom, and academic excellence. A private school is not financially supported by the government. Families pay a yearly tuition rate.

Charter Schools are tuition-free, public schools that operate as a school of choice. Charter schools operate with their own governing board of directors and have a specific learning focus with the purpose of improving student achievement, increasing learning opportunities for students, and creating new, innovative, and more flexible ways of engaging students with the goal of closing achievement gaps between low performing student groups and high performing student groups. Though Charter Schools have a sponsoring school district, they operate primarily autonomously from that sponsor.
Allegro Charter School of Music offers students in grades 6-12, who are residents of Charleston County a unique public education option that integrates music into all courses.
Allegro has designed its own curriculum that follows state standards. Our middle school students are not only in advanced-level courses but are challenged regularly through rigorous instruction. Allegro ensures that all high school students meet graduation requirements through course offerings, including a variety of AP, Dual-Credit, Honors, and CP level courses in addition to a wide range of music classes.
The mission of Allegro Charter School of Music is to produce inspired thinkers and creative members of society through the infusion of music into an academically challenging environment.

Online schools are taught entirely or predominantly online and through the Internet. The teacher and students are not in the same place physically but are still learning together. Online schools can begin at Kindergarten and go through High School often even into College courses.
Kids on Mission (KOM) provides Christ-centered, interactive online Spanish & Mandarin classes, and is the virtual learning program of Charleston Bilingual Academy.
Your child will increase in fluency by singing songs, engaging in virtual games, and having real-life conversations. Children are able to learn a second language at the native level until about 7 years of age. KOM seeks to engage children’s natural ability to absorb language in a dynamic, fun environment. All of our teachers are native speakers who are passionate about sharing their language and culture with students, all in the context of God’s love for them. KOM offers private or small group classes via Zoom with time options to meet every schedule.
