Holiday Festival of Lights

Dates: November 13 – December 31

Location: James Island County Park, 871 Riverland Drive, Charleston

Details: Featuring over 700 displays and 2 million lights, the Holiday Festival of Lights is a cherished holiday tradition for many families throughout Charleston and beyond.

Christmas on the Battery

Dates: December 3, 5:30 pm – 8 pm

Location: Edmondston-Alston House, 21 East Battery, Charleston, SC 29401

Details: Enjoy a special evening at the historic Edmondston-Alston House. Tour the festively decorated house by candlelight and hear the Charleston Caroling Company. Warm up in the courtyard with a glass of wine or hot cider where local storyteller, Fouché Sheppard, will perform Gullah Christmas stories. This event will follow CDC guidelines for social distancing and masks will be required inside the house.

Tickets must be purchased online in advance. $30 | Members: $25

Drive-Thru Tree Lighting

Dates: December 3, 6 pm – 8 pm

Location:1122 Dills Bluff Rd., Charleston, SC 29412

Details: Come drive-thru Town Hall for our 7th Annual Tree Lighting event! We’ll be handing out hot chocolate and take and make s’mores kits. The JICHS Jazz Band will be playing your holiday favorites as you swing by to help us celebrate the season, in a COVID-friendly environment!

Holiday Parade at Magnolia

Dates: December 5

Location: Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, 3550 Ashley River Rd., Charleston, SC 29414

Details: Magnolia Plantation & Gardens is hosting our FIRST EVER Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 5th, 2020 at 11 am. The Parade will start at our Children’s Garden and will march down our iconic Oak Alley. Bring your chairs and blankets, grab a hot chocolate from the Peacock Café, and enjoy some Christmas magic. Santa will be having a socially distanced meet and greet immediately following the parade in the Children’s Garden, so make sure to stick around!

Santa Claus Lane

Dates: December 5, 6 pm – 7 pm

Location: Front Beach on the Isle of Palms

Details: Drive through Front Beach on Ocean Boulevard and enjoy the 25′ Christmas Tree,  lighted Palm Trees, and Holiday displays. Elves will greet each vehicle at the Christmas Tree with a bag of candy. At the intersection of Ocean and JC Long elves will collect letters to Santa Claus and place them in the special Santa Claus mailbox.

Santa will be in his chair where he will wave and say hello to all the boys and girls as you slowly drive by. Vehicles will be asked to turn north on Ocean Boulevard and continue to enjoy the lights and sounds of Christmas.

Annual Hanahan Christmas Parade

Dates: December 6, 10 am – 12 pm

Location: Hanahan High School

Details: We invite the community to come kick off the Christmas Season with a parade. The parade will start and end at Hanahan High School.

Deck the Halls: Golf cart Parade and Tree Lighting

Dates: December 11, 5 pm – 8 pm

Location: Nexton Square, 801 Nexton Square Drive, Summerville, SC

Details: Watch or join in the parade of lighted golf carts as they make their way down Brighton Park Boulevard and around the square. Enjoy live music from the Sound Dog Trio and ooh and ahh over the annual tree lighting.

Christmas in the Creek Holiday Parade

Dates: December 12, 9:30 am

Location: 208 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445

Details: The Christmas in the Creek Holiday Parade is coming to Goose Creek on Saturday, Dec. 12! The parade will take place on St. James Avenue, between the corners of Old Moncks Corner Rd. and Marilyn Street. The parade will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. and road closures will begin at 8:00 a.m. (Rain date: December 19)

25th Annual Christmas Light Parade

Dates: December 13, 5:30 pm

Location: Coleman Blvd.

Details: Brilliantly lit floats and community groups march down West Coleman Boulevard as the Mount Pleasant Christmas Light Parade sets sail to the delights of thousands of residents and visitors.

Summerville Christmas Parade

Dates: December 13, 2 pm

Location: 115 Richardson Ave. E, Summerville, SC 29483

Details: A beautiful Christmas Parade in Downtown Summerville.

Drive-in Chanukah in the Square

Dates: December 13, 4 pm – 5:30 pm

Location: The Bend, 3775 Azalea Dr., North Charleston, SC

Details: Family-friendly, Fun, Free, and SAFE! Announcing the 13th annual Chanukah in the Square extravaganza, sponsored by the Norman and Gerry Sue Arnold Foundation and the City of Charleston. Join us for a drive-in event located at The Bend, with food and activities delivered to your vehicle. Enjoy the live music from the comfort (and safety) of your clearly marked and socially distanced parking area while you watch the sunset along the Ashley River!
