THE Guide for Y’all on Local Charleston Gift Giving!

    0

Can you believe the holidays are upon us, again? And already?! Once you’ve got your Elf out on the shelf, it’s official. This is our first year entertaining the new household resident, and he has quite a special name: Mr. Galaxy Trainman Mustache. Try saying that three times fast! The kids have been filling him in on what they’d like Santa to bring this year, and I think I overheard my husband telling him a thing or two also. 😉

Before you run out to your nearest major retailer (or if you prefer online shopping – put the laptop down!), check out our guide to all around Charleston gifts and shops. You’ll find a little something for everyone on your list!

    Charleston Inspired Gift Ideas

Sweetgrass Baskets – These sweet handmade baskets can be found at roadside stands along Highway 17 and at the Charleston City Market. A gift rich in history, learn more about sweetgrass baskets here.

CHS Hat (by Aviate) – Aviate makes hats for all cities, for a fun reason. “For millions of travelers, the three-letter airport codes assigned to major cities instantly evoke the memories of journeys past, the anticipation of adventure ahead, or the satisfaction of heading home once business is done.”

Shep Gear – Coastal gear by Shep Rose (of our own Southern Charm) is the ultimate Charleston gift for him. Tees with plenty of fun quips to choose from like, “Craig is my lawyer, he’ll sew the pants onto you”, “hot mess express”, “dad bod”, and the best “tan fat = muscle”.

Dee Ruel Jewelry Design – Dee offers handcrafted, locally made jewelry and even has something special for the little lady in your life. Her line ‘Little Dee’ is sure to put a smile on your sweet girl’s face! If you’ve got something particular in mind, Dee offers custom orders. If you’re looking for another style, Tidal Jewelry by Annie & Hermosa Jewelry are also amazing!

Charleston Magazine – Gift a subscription to Charleston Magazine, a monthly publication highlighting all things under the Lowcountry sun, for your Charleston loving friend!

Birdseye Bow Ties and Furnishings – Such a fun gift idea for him! Birdseye Bow Ties is the ultimate small business, run by two men who create ‘high-quality pieces from only local, sustainable woods’.

Charleston Coffee Roasters – I’ve only met a few people who don’t love coffee. Charleston Coffee Roasters’ pride themselves on gathering hhigh-qualitycoffee beans, and supporting sustainable farming practices. A true friend gives the gift of coffee perfection!

Charleston Tea Plantation – The original American Classic Tea by Charleston Tea Plantation is the only brand of tea that is made exclusively with tea grown in America.

Rewined Candle – This is the perfect gift for the wine lover in your life. The candles smell like your favorite wine, and come in a repurposed wine bottle. My favorite is Pinot Noir. The funny thing about this candle is that my husband gifted me one when we lived in Minnesota and prior to our plans to move to Charleston. A little foreshadowing there?!

Vibey Soap Company – Small batch artisan soap that is vegan and cruelty free. The soaps are gorgeous, and you can’t beat the all-natural vibe.

Patricia’s Couture – “Patricia’s Couture offers custom caftans, pajamas , nd accessories featuring your very own pet (dog, cat, horse, bird, even fish). With every item you purchase, we help an animal in need.”

Be Little Swings – These are the cutest made to order and custom swings, handmade by a local mom!
