It’s June! Congratulations mamas, somehow, someway, we’ve made it to June! Although our current normal looks a lot different than it did a few months ago, we still want to provide you with all of the activities (virtual or otherwise), things to do, and resources to help you during this uncertain season.

Looking to add some adventure to your month? If your kids are ready for a break from homeschooling and virtual everything, then plan a family day or date night at Summit Adventure Park. The area’s all-new trampoline park packs 12 attractions and tons of fun into each visit. Test gravity on the Olympic-sized trampoline court, become the ultimate athlete, ninja or gladiator, take flight on the airbags…even toddlers can get in on the fun in their very own Kid’s Court. Every Monday | 12 pm :: If you’re looking for fantastic read-along videos, be sure to tune into Mondays with Michelle Obama on PBS Kids Facebook page.
Every Tuesday | 11 am :: Join the CCPL librarians on Facebook for a virtual read-along.
Every Wednesday | 6 pm :: For five weeks beginning on June 3rd, the Charleston Gaillard Center is thrilled to present Lowcountry Listens, a free, virtual music series showcasing local artists. Viewers can tune into each performance on gaillardcenter.org, on Facebook Live, and on YouTube Live.
Every Thursday | 8 pm :: This one is for the adults! Join CCPL’s Facebook Group and come hang out every Thursday night for virtual trivia.
Every Friday | 1 pm :: Join Old Fort Baptist Church Kids for Fun Fridays on Zoom. Kids will log into a Zoom meeting with OFBC Kids for a Fun Friday Game or Challenge.
Every Saturday | 2 pm :: Virtual escape room for teens via CCPL’s Facebook page.
Every Sunday | 11 am :: Join the Lowcountry Food Bank team for (virtual) fun lessons on safely handling food and working in the kitchen.
Monday – Friday | 10 am – 12 pm :: Toddler time at Summit Adventure Park. 7 and under. only $6.50/hr!
June 1 – 30 | Pet Helpers is teaming up with some favorite local businesses to host a virtual, month-long 10-mile race in support of their mission! This race invites participants to follow a course across Folly Road and James Island, with checkpoints along the route located at local storefronts. You can “run” the race at your own leisure between May 15th and June 14th.

June 1 – 6 | :: To celebrate all of the new moms in the community, Fit Mommy Charleston is offering a special FREE week of classes at their various area locations.
June 2 | :: Treat yourself and ditch the kitchen on Tuesday, June 2nd. By ordering a meal you’ll also be feeding a family in need! Charleston restaurants are donating 15%-25% of sales to your local food bank as part of a national effort to connect and support communities and local restaurants. June 5 | :: Today is World Bicycle Day! Go on a family bike ride and make it an adventure!
June 5 | :: It’s National Donut Day! Celebrate by picking up some delicious donuts from one of our favorite Charleston donut shops!
June 5 | :: Donuts, bicycles, and…the environment! Today is World Environment Day and we’ve got some simple, but important things you can do to make a positive impact!
June 5 – 7 | 7 pm :: Go old school with a pop-up drive-in theater at the Bend, situated on the beautiful Ashley River. $25 Ticket. ONLY ONE TICKET NEEDED PER VEHICLE!
June 6 | 7 pm :: Join For the Love of Art LIVE on their Facebook page Saturday nights to paint! They will walk you step-by-step through painting one of 10 Pick-Up & Paint @ home paintings. If you need supplies you can purchase a porch pick-up through their website. Pick up is Wednesdays and Thursdays. See their website for details.
June 8 | :: Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) will begin providing curbside service on Monday, June 8 at all its library branches so patrons may pick up books and other items they have placed on hold. Check website for specific days and times that this will be available.

June 10 | 10 am :: Head to Hampton Park in downtown Charleston for all things BUGS! Look for bugs, paint with bugs, paint pasta butterflies, and play a game with a fly swatter!

June 17 | :: Did you know that today is Eat Your Vegetables Day? Neither did we, but we’ll take any chance we can get to turn eating veggies into a fun experience. Plus, your kids will love the chance to “celebrate”. Check out these veggie-forward recipes and thank us later!
