Juggling work and taking care of your family can be challenging at times, but don’t forget to take care of yourself. A fun “me time” that I love to do as a mother is trivia nights with friends! Charleston is known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and delicious seafood, but did you know it’s also a great place for trivia nights? Whether you’re a local or just visiting, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to test your knowledge and have a good time with your friends. Frothy Beard Brewery
One popular spot for trivia nights is Frothy Beard Brewery on Sam Rittenberg in West Ashley! Every Thursday at 8:00 p.m., you can team up with your friends and win different prizes! The categories change each week, so you’ll never get bored. They are well known for their theme trivia nights, such as the TV show Friends, the Office, and popular movies such as the Harry Potter series, Marvel, Disney, and many more!
The atmosphere is exciting and friendly, and the pizza is some of the best in town. Their pizza slices are quite fun to eat and their toppings are endless! The company “Zombie Pizza” provides these delicious pizzas.
Aside from good beer and pizza, Frothy Beard is also known for its old-school video games such as Pac-man and Nintendo games. You can play my favorite games such as Donkey Kong, Super Mario Kart, and Super Smash Bros. I highly recommend this family-friendly brewery to anyone, no matter what age — there is something for everyone!
Holy City Brewing
Another great option is the Holy City Brewing taproom in North Charleston. Every Wednesday general knowledge trivia is hosted live in the taproom by house trivia man, Dick, from 6-8 pm. House cash to the top three teams, $75, $50, and $25 gift cards, respectively. Assemble your trivia team and put your heads together over some tasty HCB brews. Free to play!
The taproom has a relaxed, casual vibe and serves up a variety of delicious, locally-brewed beers. They have outdoor and indoor seating as well, so spring and summertime are always busy!
You will find dedicated teams who come back every week to compete for the prizes, so make sure you get there earlier than the start time in order to get a table for your team! The host of trivia night is lively and always knows how to have fun! Even if you are not wanting to participate in trivia, it’s still a fun atmosphere to enjoy the company you are with.
