The Sweet Tea Festival is a celebration of the birthplace of sweet tea, right here in Summerville SC. Historic Downtown is transformed into a massive open house/street fair with different food trucks, artisanal vendors, and entertainment.

Who’s ready to have the greatest time the start off the fall season? There will be games, hayrides, food, farm-fresh produce, all kinds of apples, Apple of My Eye Talent Show, music and so much more.

Experience authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of downtown Summerville. Along with tasty food to sample, there will also be a variety of imported and local wines to try. Admission is free!

Due to continuing safety concerns about COVID-19, the 2021 MOJA Arts Festival will not incorporate its traditional platform of large-scale free public events and ticketed performances by national and international artists. A series of MOJA events scaled to mirror current CDC guidelines for safe public assembly in both outdoor venues and indoor facilities are anticipated for this autumn, along with public art initiatives, pop-up art exhibitions, and new programs intended to interrogate and rearticulate key concepts of identity, heritage, and community.

The 2021 Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, October 2. Rain date: October 9. We are looking forward to a great event in 2021. Free parking and admission. Bring canned goods in benefit for Helping Hands of Goose Creek and receive 2 raffle tickets for a chance to win some amazing prize packs. Prizes will be awarded throughout the event.

The Flowertown Festival is the Y’s premiere fundraiser founded in 1972 to support health and wellness programs at the Y. On this three-day weekend, festival-goers transcend this gracious Southern town to take in the flowers and hospitality and attend one of the largest arts and crafts festivals in the Southeast.

The annual Latin American Festival brings people together to celebrate Charleston’s vibrant Latin and Caribbean cultures through non-stop merengue, reggaeton, bachata, and salsa music; traditional dance; folkloric artwork and crafts; and authentic Latin American and Caribbean staples – from flavorful empanadas to tasty arroz con pollo.

Scarecrows, decorated by local businesses and groups, will be on display during this annual event brought to you by the Junior Service League of Summerville.

Listen to ghost stories, take part in festival games, and enjoy delicious food, all while wearing your favorite costume. Hutchinson Square will be surrounded by scarecrow displays created by local businesses and groups, and guests can vote for their favorites! All proceeds benefit the JSL of Summerville School Supply Fund for Dorchester School Districts 2 and 4.

This year’s Charleston Literary Festival, which will be held from November 5th to 14th. There will be around 24 events altogether, a mixture of in-person and virtual sessions, on topics ranging from history, civil rights, feminism, science, biography, classical, and contemporary fiction, and more.

Come on out to Johns Island County Park for foot-stompin’ live music from local bluegrass bands, hayrides, pumpkin decorating, archery, and more. Feast on Southern delights like finger-lickin’ Carolina barbeque, kettle korn, and all of your favorite festival foods! Once you’ve eaten your fill, head on over to the crafters market for some great for holiday shopping!
