    Presenting Sponsors

We are thrilled to welcome these professionals to speak and teach about all things pregnancy, childbirth, infant care, postpartum issues, fitness, and so much more. Regardless of how many children you have, there’s always something to ask or something new to learn. Here are the experts serving on our panel.

    Elaine DeaKyne

    Postpartum Support - Elaine
    Postpartum Support
Elaine is the Executive Director of Postpartum Support Charleston. About five years ago she was diagnosed with postpartum depression and anxiety after the birth of her oldest daughter. She had no idea how to get help or who to turn to. After seeing her OB and getting her diagnosis, she started looking online for help. Through her search, she found PSC. She attended a support group and started down the path to recovery. Her journey to recovery was difficult, and once she started to feel more like herself, she felt a pull back toward the organization. She’s been involved with PSC for more than 4 years now, and she is working in the community to help bring awareness to this common illness so that new moms can have the resources they need when they are suffering from a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder.

    Trina Kiernan

    Trina - Physical Therapy Services

    Physical Therapist
Trina Kiernan was the first person in SC to receive a Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP) from the American Physical Therapy Association. Trina has been a pelvic floor physical therapist for 19 years. She worked for two years to earn her certification through the APTA and traveled to Maryland, New York, and Oregon for training.

Pelvic Health is a topic that is important for women of all ages and stages of life. It’s especially important for women who have been pregnant or hope to become pregnant someday.

    Tiffany Nettles
Tiffany traded in back-to-back business meetings and PowerPoint presentations, for sippy cups and play dates – leaving her corporate job behind to become a stay-at-home mom to her 16-month-old toddler. To say life is different is an understatement, and she now has a new found love and respect for the “hardest” (and best!) job she’s ever had. A native South Carolinian, Tiffany is best described as kind-hearted and friendly, with a quick sense of humor. When she’s not toting her little one around town to the latest kid friendly activity, you can find her enjoying a latte at Drip, catching up on the latest celebrity gossip magazines, or watching old reruns of Beverly Hills 90210 from the early 90s. She received her Masters Degree in Integrated Communications from the University of South Carolina in 2007, and enjoys reading, writing and all things "mom." In addition to being a co-owner of Charleston Moms, Tiffany also owns Columbia Mom, a like publication.
