During the first week of our Family Health Challenge, we will focus on incorporating more fruits and vegetables into our diets (and our kids’)! We all know fruits and veggies are healthy and recommended, but sometimes its hard to ensure we get our adequate daily intake.

The American Heart Association recommends 4 to 5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day. How do you incorporate fruits and vegetables in your diet?

If you are looking for creative ways to hide vegetables in every day foods, visit this website.

TIP: A fun and interactive way to get the kids involved is to take them to the produce section of the grocery.  Let them pick out 1 new fruit and 1 new vegetable to try that week.  The rules are that every one must at least try both!
